My work starts with designing in words first to map out user flows before doing anything visual. I put much thought into this process, so I can concentrate on the interaction points of the product and primarily aim for a consistent experience. Sketching on real paper helps me focus on determining how a user might complete a task, where they go afterward, and what happens before all of that. It also forces me to think about potential pain points in the interactions. This step is vital and helps to avoid a waste of time and money.

After I understand precisely what is required to make your product tangible, I move on and convert the words into drawing and start building the actual visual design. Design based on research is what I advocate for; that’s why I make use of interactive prototypes to bring my assumptions into real-world testings for validation. By putting it in people’s hands, I get valuable feedback and iterate until it meets their needs.
